Sayed Rahim Mo'ini Kermashani was born in 1921 in Kermanshah.
In the beginning of his literary and journalistic career, he published 29 issues of the newspaper Shahrnameh Gharb in Kermanshah. He published several articles and criticisms of the then Iranian state. This was the reason that he could only issue 29 numbers of his newspaper.
He was unable to stay in Kermanshah for his journalistic work and was forced to move to Tehran. He was employed by the then Iranian administration at the request of Dr. Mohammad Mosadegh.
During his years in Tehran, he began his collaboration with the respected program Glha on Iranian Radio. This Kurdish poet incorporated sociological, mystical, religious and political topics of Iran into his poems.
He became known throughout Iran for his song Ey Watan Parstakan (O Patriots). He published his first book of poetry, Ay Shmaha Bsuzid, in 1965, followed by Fitrat, Khurshid Shab, and Hafiz Bar Khiz.
Moeini Kermashani is best known in Iran for writing lyrics for songs such as Rozgar Kudki, Ashfta Hali and Sang Khara Bardi Khara, Koja Safar Rafti means Where did you travel and many others.
Dealing with famous Iranian poets and musicians was part of Mo'ini Kermanshahi's life, including Ali Tajvidi, Parviz Yahaghi, Habibullah Badiei, Homayoun Khorram and Bijan Taraghi. Moeini Kermashani is most famous in Iran for writing poetry and lyrics for songs, which is due to his dealings with these famous Iranian personalities in the field of poetry and music.
There is a kind of color in the poems and songs of Ma'ini Kermanshah.
He was so successful in learning painting at a young age that his teacher suggested that he study painting at the Kamal-ul-Mulk School in Tehran, one of Iran's most famous painters.[1]
Mo'ini Kermashani's most successful work is Shahkar, a history of Iran in poetry based on the Shahnameh of Firdausi. Seven volumes have been published so far and volumes 8 and 9 of this history are in the process of being published. This project has taken 15 years of time.
Another of Mo'ini Kermashani's activities was to protect the rights of book producers. This law was passed in the Iranian parliament in 1969 thanks to his efforts.[1]
