He was an Azerbaijani-speaking Kurd from Naghdeh who was born in 1964 in the same city. He joined the Democratic Party in 1981 and began his struggle as a Peshmerga in the forces of Martyr Minasham in Rabat and Sardasht. In 1986 and 1987, he was appointed as a sergeant in the Peshmerga department and in 1989 as a party cadre. Jafar became a beloved cadre in the valley and plain areas (between Shino, Naghdeh and Urmia) and had a good place among the members and loyalists of the Democratic Party’s heart. Jafari Zamani was wounded twice during his military struggle. As well as being a Peshmerga and a skilled military cadre, he was also an example of an understanding political cadre in terms of consciousness and knowledge. He spent a significant part of his time reading and actively participated in political and cultural meetings within the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In the 1970s, he proudly served as a party cadre in the Security Committee, Samrand Force, Urmia Committee and the 3rd Central Committee of the Democratic Party. He worked as a teacher in the second center of the Democratic Party for several years.
At the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Jafari Zamani was elected as a deputy member of the central committee and was entrusted with the responsibility of the service department of the party's financial commission. In early summer 2008, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Attempts to treat the disease have been in vain.
Jafari Zamani, a member of the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, passed away at 10:00 am on Thursday, #17-01-2009#, after nearly a year of struggle with illness in a hospital in Koya.[1]
