He is a native of Pawa in Hawraman region of Eastern Kurdistan and currently he lives in Germany. He began his political struggle at the beginning of the revolution against the monarchy in the country and was elected as a member of the Pawa city council because of his activities among the masses.
After Khomeini's order of jihad on July 28, 1358 AH of the Solar calendar, against the rights and freedoms of the Kurdish people in East part of Kurdistan and due to the lack of opportunities for peaceful and open civil struggle, Sdiq Babaii participated in the national defense struggle in the ranks of the Kurdistan Peshmerga.
During the defense struggle, he was assigned to manage the following responsibilities:
1- Responsibility for the committees of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran in the cities of Takab and Sainqala (Hawshar).
2- Member of the Social Commission of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and head of the Kurdistan Councils Department.
3- He held the responsibility of the Kermanshah city’s and Kamyar city’s Civil Committees.
4- He held the responsibility of the Piranshahr Municipal Committee (Khane).
5- He held the responsibility of the Mahabad city Municipal Committee.
6- He was a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran.
Sdiq Babaii has been living in Germany as a refugee since the year 1990 and has continued his struggle abroad in various ways. Until now he has written and published dozens of articles such as historical research or articles related to the current Kurdish issue.[1]
