Abdul Rahman Azizi, also known as Sofi Rahman, son of Mohammad Hussein, was born in 1922, which is 1301 AH of the Solar calendar in the village of Yaksha, 12 kilometers from #Bokan# city, in a poor family. Without being able to attend school as a child, he worked with his family and worked in agriculture until he reached his youth.
Because of the suffering, he saw around him, the feeling of fellowship grew stronger in his heart, so he actively participated in charitable activities on various occasions.
In 1975 he settled in Bokan. Through his participation in charitable activities, Sufi Rahman's passion, influence and faith gradually took root in the hearts of the people, especially the poor. Although he had suffered from heart disease in recent years, he walked all the narrow and dark streets of the city with his bent back and white beard, to be a cure for pain in someone's darkness by being a candle.
Sofi Rahman was not alone recently as in previous years, but with a group of people who came around him like butterflies and promised him until later years within the framework of the Bokan Charity Foundation, which was established in 2006, which is (1385 AH) Officially established, continue his path and keep his name high.
The organization collects donations and vows from citizens and gives them to those in need, including students, orphans, homeless women, and the poor, in order to protect human sovereignty and dignity and create an environment of mental and social safety He does charity work personally. It also provides medical services and treatment to the poor and provides housing for the poor and oppressed.
Sofi Rahman Azizi passed away on Monday evening, #16-02-2009#, which is the 28th of January (1387AH)at the age of 86 in Bokan due to a long illness.
The body of Sofi Rahman Azizi was buried in the public cemetery of Bokan city in the presence of a large number of scholars, people, and various sections of the Kurdish people.[1]
