His full name is Mohammed Abdulrahman Mohiddin Zangana. He was born in 1940 in Kirkuk. In 1959, he was forced to drop out of school for political reasons to avoid imprisonment. In 1959, he published his first article in the magazine (Hataw) in issue (161) on 31-08-1959. In 1971, he continued to write and publish his books. He retired in 1982 after working as a bank employee in Baghdad for several years.
On 06-01-1995 he was expelled from Kirkuk by the dictatorial regime.
On 01-05-1995 he returned to the government as the Administrative and Financial Director of the Erbil Cultural Directorate.
On 15-02-2002 he retired from the Kurdistan Region. He is the father of three daughters and two sons. From 1978 to 06-01-1995 he prepared and presented the program (with celebrities) on Kurdish radio in Baghdad.
He participated in 19 drama series of Kurdish Radio Baghdad and played the role of Ahmad. From 1986 to the end of 1987, he prepared and presented the program (with intellectuals) on Kirkuk TV.
In 1979, he was in charge of the sports department of the newspaper (Hawkari) in Baghdad.
He was a member of the Kurdish Writers Union in Baghdad.
He was a member of the Iraqi Journalists Association.
He was a member of the Kurdish Cultural Association in Baghdad.
He was a member of the Kirkuk Writers Union.
He was a member of the Kurdistan Union of Journalists in Kirkuk.
He has published 23 books and pamphlets, including the history of the Zangana tribe, his famous book (Words of Life) and several translated books.
He has several works ready for publication.
He has published dozens of literary, cultural, social, and administrative articles in Kurdish and Arabic newspapers and magazines.
When he settled in Kirkuk, he opened a small library in the neighborhood for the educated, intellectuals and youth and encouraged people to read books.
He passed away on 08-01-2013.[1]
