Engin Sustam is Associate Prof. at University Paris 8 St. Denis and research associate at the Institute for Citizenship Studies (InCite) of University of Geneva. He is currently working on the new form of revolt, counter-violence and biopolitical domination of violence in the Middle East with global comparison and self-management and pedagogy as a methodological approach in the social sciences.Since March 2016, he has been invited by several universities like the University of Geneva, EHESS and ENS, recognized as academic at risk by SAR (Scholars at Risk of New York University). He is an associate researcher at IFEA Istanbul. Currently attached as Associate Prof. Invited at University Paris 8 and working at Science Education Departement, attached to CETOBAC - EHESS. He is 'co-president' of 'Center for Solidarity and Cooperation with Universities of North and East Syria (CSCUNES)'.He is a independent curator and an art critic for contemporary art exhibitions on micro-politics, counter-culture, gender and memory. He currently realized with his collective team a Kurdish contemporary art project at NGBK Berlin (neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst ) 'Bê Welat – The Unexpected Stroytellers'. [1]
