Der Musiker Ferhat Demir

Der Musiker Ferhat Demir
Der Musiker Ferhat Demir macht zum ersten Mal Musik im kurdischen Goranî-Dialekt. Für ihn stellt kurdische Musik ein Mittel im Kampf gegen die Assimilationspolitik des türkischen Regimes dar.
Der Musiker Ferhat Demir stammt aus der nordkurdischen Provinz Agirî (türk. Ağrı). Diese Provinz liegt an der Grenze nach Ostkurdistan. Der kurdische Goranî-Dialekt wird vor allem in Ostkurdistan gesprochen, in #Nordkurdistan# ist er praktisch nicht vorhanden. Obwohl Demirs Muttersprache Kurmancî ist, spielt er Lieder in allen kurdischen Dialekten. Demir macht seit zehn Jahren Musik, davon drei Jahre als Straßenmusiker in Istanbul.
Demir berichtet, dass er auch Musik auf Armenisch, Farsi und Arabisch gemacht hat. Jetzt hat er die ersten Liedtexte auf Goranî geschrieben - ein Novum für die Türkei. Demir sagt: „Die Sprache meiner Musik ist Kurdisch. In Nordkurdistan gibt es keine Goranî. Goranî sprechende Kurdinnen und Kurden leben vor allem im Iran. Das Stück, das ich komponiert habe, ist ebenfalls im Iran verfasst worden. Das eigentliche Ziel meiner Musik ist es, die Menschen hier die verschiedenen Dialekte der kurdischen Musik hören zu lassen. Das habe ich erreicht. Insbesondere in Agirî haben sich viele Journalisten dafür interessiert. Viele Menschen haben sich das Lied angehört und mögen es.“
„Ich darf das Wort Kurdistan nicht singen“
Demir sieht in der Musik ein Mittel gegen die Assimilationspolitik in der Türkei: „Wenn kurdische Musik dagegen keine Position bezieht, dann handelt es sich eigentlich nicht um kurdische Musik. Ich habe beim Musizieren oft schlimme Dinge erlebt. In manchen Liedern, die ich singe, kommt das Wort Kurdistan vor, aber es fließen auch viele kulturelle Elemente ein. Es gibt keine politische Infrastruktur dafür, nur einen kulturellen Zusammenhang. Es gibt zum Beispiel ein Verbot. Ich kann dann etwas nicht singen. Die Repression bringt einen dazu, vorsichtiger zu sein, aber das hat mich mit der Zeit nicht mehr so beeindruckt. Ich mache keine Propaganda, sondern nur Musik gegen die Assimilation.”
„Die Goranî-Kurden wollen ihre Musik weiterentwickeln“
Demir weist darauf hin, dass kurdische Musiker*innen, die in der Türkei leben, teilweise sehr viel Geld verlangen, wenn man ihre Stücke spielen wolle. Bei iranischen Musiker*innen gebe es diese Erwartung nicht. Die Musiker*innen im Iran betrachteten die Weitergabe der Lieder nicht als Mittel, um Geld zu verdienen, sondern um Kunst und Kultur weiterzuentwickeln.
„Auf den Straßen wird vor allem kurdische Musik gespielt“
Demir kündigt an, er werde nun Lieder in weiteren kurdischen Dialekten veröffentlichen. Gefragt nach kurdischen Straßenmusiker*innen sagt er: „Auf der Istiklal-Straße in Istanbul gibt es etwa acht Musikgruppen, die Musik in acht Sprachen machen. Im Moment wird vor allem kurdische Musik viel gehört. Ich halte die Istiklal-Straße für den richtigen Ort, um kurdische Musik zu machen. Es geht ja darum, die Aufmerksamkeit der anderen ethnischen Gruppen auf sich zu ziehen und Interesse zu schaffen. Ich bin gegen Übertreibung, aber manche Lieder müssen laut gesungen werden.“[1]
