Der Bildhauer Erdal Tut
Der Bildhauer Erdal Tut bearbeitet Lehm, Stein und Holz. Sein größter Traum ist es, eine Statue des ermordeten Vorsitzenden der Anwaltskammer von #Amed#, Tahir Elçi, anzufertigen.
Der Bildhauer Erdal Tut arbeitete für die Stadtverwaltung von Amed (türk. Diyarbakır). 2016 wurde er durch ein Ausnahmezustandsdekret entlassen. Daraufhin errichtete er eine Werkstatt in einer Lagerhalle im Stadtteil Ofis und begann damit, Interessierten Unterricht in Bildhauerei zu erteilen. Er verleiht in seinem Atelier Holz, Lehm und Stein Leben. Tut stammt aus Farqîn (Silvan) in der Provinz Amed. Er hat bereits in seiner Kindheit begonnen, sich künstlerisch zu betätigen. Mit der Bildhauerei begann er an der Universität. Er erzählt: „Als ich Kind war, spielte ich mit Lehm und Holz. Ich habe noch nie besonders viel geredet, aber ich ließ meine Kunst für mich sprechen. Auf der Mittelschule habe ich mich mit Malerei beschäftigt. An der Universität lernte ich dann die Bildhauerei kennen und habe den Beruf des Bildhauers erlernt.

Das Gedächtnis der Gesellschaft erhalten
Menschen haben schon immer Kunstwerke angefertigt. Die Bildhauerei sorgt dafür, dass der Mensch die Welt noch schöner und lebendiger sieht. Die Kunst erhält das Gedächtnis der Gesellschaft. Ich beschäftige mich schon seit 20 Jahren mit Steinbildhauerei. Das war mein erster Bereich. Aber seit sechs Jahren befasse ich mich auch mit Holzbildhauerei. Dieser Beruf gibt einem Geduld, Freude und Ruhe. Wer diese Arbeit macht, muss sie lieben und sie geduldig ausführen.
Bevor ich mit der Arbeit anfange, fülle ich mein Werk in meinem Kopf mit Leben, dann übertrage ich es auf Holz oder Stein. Ich arbeite sehr lange und detailliert an den Stücken. Diese Kunst ist zu einem Teil meines Lebens geworden. Vor zwanzig Jahren wusste ich nicht einmal, was eine Skulptur ist, aber heute bin ich Bildhauer. Ich gebe Stein, Lehm und Holz Leben. Die Jugend in Amed zeigt großes Interesse an dieser Kunst. In meinem Atelier unterrichte ich einige Jugendliche. Die Werkstatt ist also auch gleichzeitig eine Kunstakademie.”

Ich möchte eine Statue von Tahir Elçi anfertigen
Tut will Skulpturen verschiedener kurdischer Persönlichkeiten anfertigen. Sein größter Traum ist es, eine Statue des erschossenen Menschenrechtlers und Anwaltskammerpräsidenten Tahir Elçi anzufertigen und am Ort seiner Ermordung durch das Erdoğan-Regime, in Amed-Sûr, aufzustellen. Er sieht Elçi als ein Symbol des Friedens.
„Unsere Vorfahren haben diese Kunst bereits praktiziert. Nemrut und Göbekli Tepe sind dafür gute Beispiele. In der Region wurden wunderbare Statuen angefertigt – es ist ein Glück, hier Bildhauer zu sein“, fährt Tut fort.

Zwangsverwalter haben Statuen kurdischer Persönlichkeiten entfernt
Eine der ersten Handlungen der anstelle der Ko-Bürgermeister*innen eingesetzten Zwangsverwalter war es, die Skulpturen kurdischer Persönlichkeiten und Denkmäler an Opfer von Massakern aus den Städten zu entfernen. „Zuerst haben sie die Statue von Ehmedê Xanî und das Mahnmal für das Massaker von Roboskî abgeräumt, sagt Tut: „Das hat mir sehr weh getan. Alle Bildhauer müssen dagegen protestieren. Es handelt sich um eine Respektlosigkeit gegenüber den Kurden und ihrer Kunst. Das kulturelle Gedächtnis des kurdischen Volkes soll ausgelöscht werden. Statuen können entfernt werden, aber das, was in unserem Geist lebt, kann nicht vernichtet werden.“
