He was born in 1969 in Ilam, East Kurdistan.
He graduated from the Department of Acting and Theater Directing in Tehran.
He has written and directed several plays, some of which include: Blood Migration, Retirement, Uncle of the Jungle, Jungle Story, Starry Garden, Fourth Floor, Another Birth, Civil War, and Great Circus Dance of Fire were performed in the first Kurdish Theater Festival in Saqiz.
Noormohammadi has acted in several plays, including Hamlet and The Tricks of Escape, directed by Dr. Qutbuddin Sadeghi, which were staged at the Tehran Theater Association.
The Ilam filmmaker has made several short films in various Kurdish languages in Ilam, Marivan, Mahabad, Shirvan in North Khorasan and many other places in Kurdistan and Ilam. Some of which are: Short film Craft, Soldier, Machine, Child, Short Film Lost Flower, Short Film A Photographer's Winter, Short Film Eyes in the Wind Races in the Soil, Short Film Hidden Tears, Short Film Under the Shadow of the Oak, Short Film First Picture of the Sun, Short Film Rain Song, Short Film Hunter and A Nest on a Rock.
Jafar Noormohammadi has also made four documentaries, including Cheese, Tourist Scenes (in seven episodes), Zagros Bride and Desert Footsteps.
Kurdish filmmaker Ja'far Noormohammadi has participated in various Iranian and international festivals and won several prestigious awards. He is one of the first artists to take theater and cinema to Ilam by organizing educational workshops and teaching Kurdish children. In most of the cities and towns of Ilam, he has educated a new generation, most of whom are now studying theater and cinema in Iranian universities and are active in various groups in the field of art.[1]
