He was born in 1943 in Zakho.
1966 - 1975 College of Education in Baghdad and received his doctorate in psychology in the UK.
From 1991 to 1995, he was the head of the Kurdish Cultural Institute in Baghdad and the editor-in-chief of the Kurdish magazines Rangin and Roshnbiri.
He was arrested in Baghdad in 1998 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Since 2005, he has been the editor-in-chief of the PDK's Al-Ta'akhi newspaper.[1]
