Osman Majid Namali
Osman Majid Namali
He was born in the year 1956 in the village of Namal in the mountains of Sharazoor, South Kurdistan.
In the year 1978 he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Ranjdaran Association.
After Anfal, he was a brave and fearless fighter, and chose the name Nabaz as an alias for himself.
In November of the year 1988, he joined the 3rd Brigade of the Kurdistan Liberation Army (KLA) as a Peshmerga.
He has played a significant role in many organizational activities to serve his country.
He played a significant role in delivering supplies to the guerrillas in Qaradagh and Sharazoor, such as ammunition, food, and medicine.
In the year 1991, during the Kurdistan people's uprising, he was concerned about protecting the documents and records of the regime's intelligence agencies. His role was very clear in this regard.
He was seriously wounded twice during his Peshmerga career.
In the year 1994, he was appointed as the commander of the brigade in the 9th headquarters of Sharazoor.
On August 31, he was a brave and resistant commander. He played an effective role in defeating the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)’s offensive forces in the Battle of Sairanban.
In the year 1999, he was appointed deputy of the 3rd force in the Sharazoor army.
He graduated from the second course of command in the Qalachualan College.
Anyone who has known Martyr Osman also knows that he has not hidden himself from the face of responsibility for a moment throughout his career and has always been at the forefront of the struggle and resistance of his nation.
Unfortunately, on the night of 4/10/2000, he was martyred in a battle which he disagreed with and was very worried about.[1]
