I was born in the year 1961 in the town of #Halabja# in Iraqi Kurdistan, at that time my father used to be an employee in the city of Halabja.
And again because of my father's job, I completed my first grade of the primary school in the #Shaqlawa# town of the #Erbil# province, and the second grade of the primary school in Halabja, and then the rest of the primary school studies in the Bekas and Goran schools of the city of #Sulaymaniyah#.
I attended both the high schools of Salahaddin High School in the city of Sulaymaniyah and the Ranya Secondary School in Ranya town at the slopes of the Kewa Rash (Black Mount) mountain.
I completed my last year of study in the city of Baghdad at the Rassafa Institute of Management.
Since the early 1980s of the last century, I had been acquainted with writing and poetry, and even now they are still an integral part of my life.
Reading Mahwi's poems for me it gives me a pure Sufism taste, which directly and smoothly makes me a dervish in this pure monastery of his poetry.
I started working in the section of journalism in the early years of the 1990s and ever since I have worked for a number of magazines, newspapers, radio, and television stations in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
In the year 1996, I moved to the United States, where I have been an employee and I have been working in the Kurdish section of Voice of America VOA since December of the year 1999.[1]
