Actor, Director, Writer, and Poet
Osama Jamil Ali Pirdawd Yousef Abdullah Beg was born on #23-12-1965# in Shawais village of #Erbil#. He has finished primary school in Shawais, and finished secondary school in Jamhoori school for boys. He graduated from Kurdistan high school School.
He graduated from the Department of History, College of Arts, Salahaddin University. He was appointed as a teacher at the Gal high school. He is a writer and poet, he has worked as a director and actor for a number of Kurdish Series and dramas. He started in 1995 in the radio later his first TV production was in the same year with the name Regret. From the year 1998 to the year2004, he was the administrator of the media bureau of the United Islamic Kurdistan (Yakgrtoo) and the director of the Voice of the UID radio. From 1998 to 2002, he was the director of the UIK TV channel in Erbil. He has won most of the votes of his party in a number of elections. He won 72000 votes for the election of Erbil municipality in 2000, however, he couldn't get the position out of a plan against him. In 2010, he was elected as a member of the Iraqi parliament with 51,000 votes. On #05-04-2009#, his wife Niga Abubakr died of a fatal illness. He is the dad of a son and two daughters named Karzhin, Hazhin, and Hanasa.
After several years of his first wife's death, he married Sumaya Jaafar. In 2000-2001, he wrote and recorded the drama series Koch 1-2 for Yekgirtu TV. He has acted in both seasons of Gre (Knot) written by Hiwa Bayiz and translated by Hiwa Suad, and Mami Alan directed by Nassir Hassan. He also wrote and directed the drama series the Pains of Baram in 2006. He has written, directed, and acted in more than 50 short plays.
From 1994 to 2000, he was the director of the Yakgrtoo Radio and Television.
He is a member of the Iraqi parliament on the UIK list.[1]
