Zuhair Abdulmasih is a Theater artist and director
His full name is Zuhair Abdulmasih Elia. He was born in the year 1948 in the Ankawa district of the Erbil city. Because of the fact that his father was a teacher they had to move to Alqush township where he completed his primary education, later they return to Erbil where he finishes his secondary and high school education, he is a graduate of the College of Fine Arts of the University of Baghdad of the year 1972-1973. In the year 1969, he directed the play Momdani Matran The Bishop's Candle written by Victor Hugo for the first time in Ankawa. In the year 1970, the acting department was opened at Radio Baghdad, many artists and actors were working for the radio including:
• Tal'at Saman
• Ahmad Salar
• Farhad Sharif
• Shamali Abarash
In 1970, he made his acting debut in the drama Cursed directed by Tal'at Saman for Baghdad television, at those times alongside the his job for the radio he also becomes an assistant director for the television and that time they record some dramas including:
• Lanawazan
• Maraza
• Xwlay Chakhmakha
In 1974, he joined the Eylul (September) Revolution and became a director at that time martyr Abdulkhaliq Ma’roof was the head of the Voice of Iraqi Kurdistan Radio. In the 1980s, he recorded several works for television, both as a director and screenwriter

Zuher Abdulmasih has been living in Sweden since 1999 and later returned to the Kurdistan Region to work for the Ministry of Culture. [1]
