He was born in 1948 in Sulaymaniyah, Dargazen neighborhood (Barkhanaqa). He graduated from the College of Arts of Baghdad University in 1973. He began his career as a journalist in 1970. He worked for the late Rafiq Chalak in the newspaper Birayati in Baghdad. He became a member of the Fine Arts Association with him. He left in 1974. He was one of the members who published the magazine Dangi Peshmerga (Voice of Peshmarga) in Haji Omeran.[1]
