He was born in 1968 in Darbandikhan. He completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. As a child and young man, he was only interested in painting and participated in many school exhibitions, as well as opened exhibitions of his work. He has several paintings including (Halabja Apple 1988 Roni). In 1987, he married and had two daughters, Mujda and Khanda. After the uprising, his wife and two-year-old Khanda died in a tragic accident. Due to displacement and lack of access to the necessary painting materials, he turned to the world of writing. He settled in Germany in 1995. He was a member of the Kurdish PEN in Berlin for several years. He was one of the five volunteers of the peace convoy who returned to Kurdistan in 2000 with the intention of reuniting the Kurdish people. He has attended several cultural conferences inside and outside Kurdistan. He remarried in 2004 and has been living in Switzerland since 2007, where he is engaged in several literary projects.[1]
