He was born on 09-12-1963 in the Pir Mansour neighborhood of the city of Sulaymaniyah, South Kurdistan. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Sulaymaniyah. He is married and his wife's name is Shana Hassan who graduated from Sulaymaniyah Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics. They have a son named Zanwer.
He has been publishing poetry in Kurdish newspapers and magazines since the early 1980s. He moved to Germany in 1995, first in Nuremberg and then in Cologne. He still lives in the city and has held poetry conferences in many cities in Germany and several other European countries.[1]
