Isaa Hussein Younis, also known as Isaa Barwari, was born in 1933 in the Jewish neighborhood of Mosul. In 1950, he released his first song, Medinaye, on Baghdad radio under the name of Abdulqadir Barwari.
Isaa Barwari was employed in 1952 as an employee of the Mosul Archaeological Directorate. In the 1970s, he devoted himself to artistic work and at the same time he was appointed head of the Kurdish music department of the Kurdish station in Baghdad. In the 1970s, he participated in several festivals outside Iraq.
Isaa Barwari has sung mostly folk songs and heroic folk songs. He worked for the Kurdish station in Baghdad until 1990, where he recorded some of his works. He stopped singing after 2000, and died on 19-07-2002 in Mosul. [1]
