The Mutabchi family is one of the famous families of Sulaymaniyah. Dozens of national, literary, cultural, scientific and social personalities from this family have served the people and the country. Their names are proudly recorded in the bright pages of history.
Dr. Amin Mutabchi is one of the prominent symbols of this noble family. He is a famous scholar of Kurdistan and has provided a lot of services in the fields of literature, culture and science.
Dr. Amin Ali Saeed is the full name of this great personality and is known as Dr. Amin Mutabchi.
He was born in 1929 in Sulaimani. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in the city.
He was interested in learning Persian language. He studied Persian grammar and literature with Sheikh Nuri Sheikh Baba Ali and Mullah Rahimi Marivani in Sulaimani.
In 1951, he attended a teacher training course and successfully completed it.
In 1959, he entered the Kurdish Department of the College of Literature of Baghdad University. In 1963, he graduated with honors and was appointed to the same university.

He returned to the country and taught Kurdish and Persian grammar and literature at the College of Literature of Baghdad University.
He was promoted to professor.
Apart from studying, Mutabchi worked in the fields of literature, history and science as a writer and translator. He has several books and scientific research.
He wrote Kurdnama, one of his most famous books, under the influence of the Persian epic, which describes Kurdish history from the establishment of the Medes to the end of the Mahabad Republic, and published in 2007.
Motabchi has several other published and manuscript books.
Mutabchi was an active member of the Kurdish Information Forum. He served Kurdish literature and language through his forums and magazines.
In the last years of his life he left Baghdad and settled in London, where he served as a professor of Oriental languages at the University of London.
He passed away on May 12, 2020 in London.[1]
