Niemand hoppelt freiwillig durch die Berge. Und ein Befreiungskrieg ist mehr als Freizeitkommunismus mit Trommelmusik.
Sehr wild soll es zugehen in Kurdistan. Schwarzhaarige Frauen mit geflochtenen Zöpfen hüpfen mit Kalaschnikows durch die Berge. Sie singen und tanzen am Lagerfeuer. Manchmal schießen sie. Manchmal sterben sie. Aber egal, Hauptsache, Revolution! Die deutsche Linke klatscht Beifall.
Revolution gibt es in Deutschland schon lange nicht mehr. Die deutsche Linke findet die Kurden ganz toll. Endlich jemand, der ihre antiimperialistischen Sehnsüchte erfüllt.
Im Gegensatz dazu finden sie die Kurdische Autonomieregion Irak ganz schlimm, weil kapitalistisch. Gibt sogar Shoppingmalls und Coca-Cola. Die deutsche Linke ist entsetzt, im United State of Kurdistan geht man nur noch zum Picknick in die Berge. Plötzlich sind die Kurden keine Opfer mehr.
Dabei sind die Deutschen so gerne auf der Seite der Opfer. Sie sind ja selbst Opfer der Geschichte. Immer waren es die Deutschen, die unter Systemen litten, für die sie nichts konnten. Als auch noch die YPG an der Seite der Amerikaner gegen den IS kämpfte, fühlte sich die deutschen Linke endgültig von den Kurden verraten.
Kein Pfadfindercamp
Die antiimperialistischen Projektionen der deutschen Linken auf Rojava und die kurdische „Revolution“ sagt weniger etwas über Rojava oder Kurdistan aus. Welche Konflikte dort tatsächlich am Werk sind (die Koalition YPJ-YPG mit oder gegen das Assad-Regime), wird genauso wenig kritisch betrachtet wie die Tatsache, dass Rojava kein freies Kurdistan ist, sondern immer noch in Assads Syrien liegt.
Rojava ist kein Pfadfindercamp für Freizeitkommunismus mit kurdischer Trommelmusik, sondern eine von Krieg und Elend geprägte Region. Krieg ist nicht eindimensional lesbar. Die tatsächlichen politischen Dynamiken und Konflikte sind komplexer. Man hoppelt nicht freiwillig durch die Berge, es geht ums Überleben.
Zuschreibungen gibt es nicht nur von links, sondern auch von rechts. Laut AfD ist Karl Mays „Durchs wilde Kurdistan“ nach Berlin importiert worden. Revolution diesmal ganz in der Nähe!
Ein Spätiverkäufer wurde vor einigen Wochen in Charlottenburg angeschossen. Der syrische Kurde gab gerade einem kurdischen Sender ein Skype-Interview zur aktuellen politischen Lage in Syrien und der Türkei, als ein Mann ihm in den Oberkörper schoss. Ob politisch motiviert oder nicht, ist noch nicht abschließend geklärt. Die AfD Berlin schreibt: „Wenn das wilde Kurdistan in Charlottenburg heimisch wird, hilft nur Null-Toleranz Politik.“
Sowohl die edlen Wilden, die gegen Kapitalismus kämpfen, als auch die Figuren von Karl May, die zur Bedrohung des Abendlandes werden, sind deutsche Projektionen. Sowohl die antiimperialistische Linke als auch die Abendlandbeschützer benutzen die „Kurden“ für ihre Zwecke. Um über den Nahen Osten zu sprechen, muss man zuallererst die festgeschriebenen Narrative verstehen. Die Kurden sind keine kämpfende Folkloretanzgruppe, sondern eine politisch, religiös und gesellschaftlich heterogene Ethnie im Nahen Osten.[1]
