He was born in Saqiz, East Kurdistan. In 1974, he was imprisoned by the monarchy for three and a half years for his political activities. He was one of the founders of the Kurdish Resident Society of Tehran. In 1970, he entered university and became a reporter for the newspaper Keyhan. “I was sent to Lebanon as the youngest reporter by the newspaper Keyhan,” he says. “After learning that journalism is not free in Iran and is under pressure from the authorities, I went to university and chose law and became a lawyer in Tehran.In 1981, I was arrested again by the Islamic Republic. I was in prison for 4 years. However, I had been arrested several times before.” he further said.
He currently lives in Tehran.[1]
