My name is Hadiya Guzel, 32 years old, from North Kurdistan. My father's family lived in Konya, Turkey. I was born in Sweden. My father came to Sweden in 1964 for an economic programme. I am married and have two children.
I have been working in the Left Party for 15 years. I studied political science at Stockholm University and graduated from law school in France. I speak six languages (Kurdish, Turkish, German, Swedish, French, English. In 2002 I became press secretary to Lars Ohly, the leader of the Left Party, but in 1995 I worked within the Left Party's student organizations and advisor to the Left Party leader for the European Union.[1]
