He was born in 1940 in Sarpeli Zahaw. In 1960, he began his career as a singer, composer and poet in Kermanshah Radio and Television Center.
In 1973, he developed his activities as a news and report preparer at the center.
From the early days of his artistic activities, Yadollah Rahmani was interested in singing original Kurdish songs. Because he understood the emotions, melodies, songs and songs of Kermanshah region very well, in recent years he released most of the songs of the people living in the Alvandi River in an album entitled Alwanati which was well received by Kurdish music lovers.
The word Alwanati refers to the maqams of Garmian region that were sung around the Alwand River and in recent years Rahmani was the only prominent singer of such maqams.
Kurdish singer Sarpeli Zahaw has many songs and works that are very well known to the people of Kurdistan.
He was a researcher of music in Kurdistan and Iran. In recent years, he was an active member of the Poetry and Music Council of the Iranian Radio and Television Organization in Kermanshah.
Rahmani composed poetry and music for a number of works prepared and recorded in Kermanshah Central Radio and Television and won several awards in most art festivals and production festivals of Iranian radio and television centers.
In the summer of 2009, he won second place in the Resistance Music Festival in the genre of maqam and regional works with the song Qasri Shirin.
He died on 28-05-2011.
Yadollah Rahmani was buried in Min Awa cemetery in Kermanshah on Sunday, May 29, 2011.[1]
