Manfi is the surname of Mullah Rasool of Mullah Ahmed Betooshi, his father came from Betoosh to Koya and started living there. Later Mullah Rasool was born in Koya, his father was the imam of Minara mosque his son Rasool started his education there, after the death of his father he inherited his path and made a place for religious studies and taught Islamic sciences and the Arabic language to the students.
Manfi knew the Persian language and was the translator for the English invaders cause some of the English officers knew Persian because they were also Orientalists.
Manfi belongs to the Betooshi family, which includes great scholars and poets, including the famous Mullah Abdullah Betooshi. The poet of this name was related to Mr. Mustafa Hiran Safi and wrote poems that praised him.
In 1919, he was appointed principal of a primary school in Koya that was named Uola which means the first.
Manfi died in 1921 in Koya and was buried there. [1]
