Shemzinan bridge, in Hakkari province, 1898 AD. The stone bridge Shimzenan is located 4 km from the village of Nahri and 13 km from the city of Shemzenan in the Kurdistan province of Hakkari. And it is called (river bridge) as well, The stone bridge Shamzinan was built by order of (Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq) in the year 1898 AD. The bridge is located on the Shimzinan River (one of the branches of the Ava Zê River) in a deep valley between the high mountains. The Shamzinan stone bridge is 11 meters high, about 21 meters long, and 3 meters wide. The bridge has one arch, and the bridge pillars are fixed to the rocks. The bridge is still in use today.[1] [2]
