He was born in the year 1967 in the city of Ranya in Sulaymaniyah province, South Kurdistan.
In the year 1992, he graduated from the College of Engineering in Baghdad University with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering. He also holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of South Australia and he is currently a PhD student in the Department of Politics at the College of Social Sciences, University of Adelaide in Australia.
He was involved in political and organizational activities in the early years of the 1980s and has fought for Kurdistan's independence and social justice.
He has published several academic articles on the Kurdish issue in international academic journals in English. He has published a booklet on Shiite policy towards Kirkuk and federalism and dozens of other articles on Kurdistan's political issues in the Kurdish language.
