He passed away on December 6, 2000 in Sulaymaniyah at the age of 77, and the Kurdish nation lost a talented poet in that day. He was born in 1923 in Barznja village of Chawarta district of Sulaymaniyah province. In 1931 they moved to #Sulaymaniyah# and he started living there.
He completed his primary and secondary education in this city. In 1946, he was employed and he was an example of respectable uncorrupted employee.
In the mid-1940s, he joined the progressive national movement. In 1963, he was arrested and tortured for his political view and position and was unemployed due to it until 1968 he was employed again in his position.
He has been writing national poetry since 1945. He was influenced by the poems of “Salim Sahebqaran” “Tayer Bag Jaf”, “Adab and Sheikh Reza Talabani” and later poets like Goran and Piramerd further attracted him to the field of poetry, but he was talented soon he became known.
He was a realistic and critical poet. He published his first successful poem in 1947 in Galawezh magazine called In Youth, Old Age and Death and attracted the attention of critics Clear and logical Therefore. He became a poet of nature, beauty and the voice of the oppressed poor. His poems were usually based on the light weight of Kurdish poetry that gave them a strong, clear and spiritual content. Innovation was evident in his poems.
The poet has published four books of poetry during his life.
1- The pains of the Mind was published in 1968 and it has 188 pages.
2- Knot of Secrets - Published in 1975 and it has 88 pages.
3- A Shocked Smile was published in 1980 and it has 85 pages.
4- Trifa and Rezhaw - Published in 1985, it has 288 pages.[1]
