Mullah Yahya Mizoori is the son of Khalid, son of Hassan Mizoori. This great scholar was born in the first half of the eighteenth century in the village of Balta which is in the Mizoori region. This great man, who is considered one of the greatest and most famous religious scholars of that time in Kurdistan and the entire region, He was still a young man when he followed the Naqshbandi path under the guidance of Mawlana Khalid Naqshbandi, Mawlana Khalid had major respect and admiration for him. He has devoted his entire life to teaching lessons, guiding people and writing books. He taught in Amedi for a long time and even the school there is named after him. Mullah Yahya Mizoori has been able to teach and educate many great and famous teachers and scholars, including Sheikh Tajaddin Barzani and Mullah Qassim Mai. He also had strong relations with the emir and rulers of Badinan, Mosul and Baghdad, especially with Zuber Pasha the second. As a great expert on religious issues, Mullah Yahya has written several important books in the Arabic language. The most famous of which are (Hasht Amozhgary) Eight Advices and (Parawezek Lasar Partooki Irshad) A Margin on the Book of Guidance. Mullah Yahya Mazuri's scientific and social position was so high that most historians and scholars of his time mentioned it in their books and works. and considered him the greatest and most experienced teacher of his time. This prominent Kurdish and Islamic man passed away in the year 1836.[1]
