Zanyar Muhammadineko in Kurdish (Zanyar Mihemmedînikû) was born on November 19, 1993 in Bokan. He completed his primary and secondary education in Bokan.
In 2011, he got accepted by University teacher traning center of Urmia in the Department of PE and after four years he completed the course. Zanyar started writing and directing in cinema in 2011. He completed film training courses in Daralfnun - Tehran and Iranian Cinema Youth society - Ûrmiye office. He has written, directed and produced several short films: As if alive - Ringtone - By my side - My clayey conception - SMS- Fingerprint.
He also has co-produced a documentary film “ Time to live -2023” with Mr. Hawar Rahimi. It is also worth mentioning that Zanyar was preselection, selection and festival coordinator at film festival, like Global Kurdish film festival, New York Kurdish film festival, mesopotamia film festival and etc, he has participated in international festivals and won awards. In 2018, he was awarded the Gold Award for the first talented artist under 25 in Ûrmiye province. In 2020, Zanyar Muhammadineko (Zanyar Mihemmedînikû) and Hawar Rahimi founded Retaw Film company (www.retawfilm.com), which produce distribut and marketing for films at international festivals. Some of these activities include the publication and sales of several successful films such as: Carpenter, Laboratory No. 2, seven Symphonies of Zagros, Mother Tongue, Time of live, Triangle and fingerpint.. They participated in major markets such as Vision do Rel, IDFA, Montreal, DMZ. Apart from his film work, Zanyar has been writing poetry in two Kurdish dialects (Kurmanji) and (Sorani) since 2011 and his poems has been published in several Kurdish magazines. [1]
