He is a Writer, journalist, and activist in the field of advocacy for the victims of the Kurdish genocide. He was born in the city of #Halabja# and completed his primary education , secondary education, and part of his high school education there in that city. In the chemical attack on the city of Halabja, part of his family was martyred and during the same attack his own father and mother were also injured by the chemical weapon which eventually later led to their martyrdom. Namiq Hawrami is a member of the Kurdistan Union of Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists.
He has published several books including the following:
1- (Shkani Awenakan) Breaking the mirrors..... Poetry published in the year 1997.
2- Kurdish Songs and Music - Hawraman ... which was Published in collaboration with Jamila Jalil in Russia.
3- Yerevan Khaber Dede.... published in 2008 in #Erbil#.

He is currently the Director of Relations of the Ministry of Culture with the Iranian government and he is also the host of the program Rasan on Newroz TV.
He has published hundreds of articles, interviews, writings, and researches in Kurdistan and in foreign magazines and newspapers
