The artist Fouad Ahmad was born in 1932 in the village of Awene in Gwer region. He went to school in the year 1940 and graduated from the teachers' college in Duhok. He first became a teacher in the village of Alla (Abdullah Gujilan) and Azaban Hill and, in several other places; Fouad Ahmad had eight children from two wives. From the years 1959 to 1970, Fouad Ahmad was in charge of the artistic movement. He for the first time went to Baghdad station in 1955; He recorded his first anthem called Newroz.
