He is a Kurdish man from the northern part of Kurdistan, He was born 52 years ago, in 1965, in the village of Gremira which belongs to the Nsebini district of the #Mardin# province. He is married and the father of seven children. Because he was once the headman of his village, he was called the headman by the villagers, he says. He hasn't lost that name yet. Qzil was forced to leave his homeland in 1989 and has lived in Sweden ever since. As it is known Kurds in Sweden are generally interested in politics, writing, studying, and working, but Qzil has turned to the world of football unlike anyone else. He explains the reason for this tendency as follows:
In fact, when I started my football career, playing was not my first goal. The goal was to be able to do something with our youth under a Kurdish name under the Kurdistan flag. I felt responsible as a father and I wanted our youth not to get lost abroad and preserve their values. At first, we did not know what methods to use to develop our sons and daughters. We saw that football is a good approach and we resorted to it and I think we have achieved a good result. We live in Dalarna in northern Sweden. So we chose the name Dalkurd for our club name. That is, the prefix dal is derived from the name Dalarna. In order for our club to express our national identity, we added the word Kurdish. This is important for us, especially our youth, so that they do not forget their national names and identities.[1]
