#Antonio Negri# ist im Alter von neunzig Jahren in Paris gestorben. Der KNK bezeichnet Toni Negri als einen der größten Philosophen des Jahrhunderts und würdigt sein Engagement für die kurdische Freiheitsbewegung.
Der italienische Philosoph und Politikwissenschaftler Antonio Negri ist in der vergangenen Nacht im Alter von neunzig Jahren in Paris gestorben. Das teilten seine Frau, die französische Philosophin Judith Revel, und seine Tochter Anna auf Instagram mit.

Toni Negri war in den 1960er und 1970er Jahren einer der führenden Theoretiker der außerparlamentarischen Linken und des sogenannten Operaismus, einer neomarxistischen Arbeiterbewegung. 1979 wurden Negri und viele andere Intellektuelle in Italien verhaftet und wegen Terrorismus und Umsturzversuchen angeklagt. Der Vorwurf, dass Negri in den Anschlag auf den damaligen italienischen Ministerpräsidenten Aldo Moro verstrickt war, wurde nie bewiesen. 1984 wurde er zu dreißig Jahren Haft verurteilt und 1986 wegen „moralischer Unterstützung“ zu weiteren viereinhalb Jahren. Noch während der Vorbereitung seiner Anklage wurde Negri 1983 für den Partito Radicale ins Parlament gewählt und erhielt dadurch parlamentarische Immunität. Später floh er nach Frankreich, wo er 14 Jahre schreiben und lehren konnte. 1997 kehrte er zurück nach Italien und wurde verhaftet. Die letzten Jahre seiner Haft verbrachte er unter erleichterten Bedingungen.

Zusammen mit Michael Hardt schrieb Toni Negri das 2010 erschienene Buch „Empire – die neue Weltordnung“, das große Resonanz in der globalisierungskritischen Linken fand. Negri war auch Verfasser eines Beitrags im Sammelband „Das freie Leben aufbauen - Dialoge mit Abdullah Öcalan“, das 2019 in deutscher Übersetzung im Unrast Verlag erschien. „Öcalan ist ein Gefangener, der zum Mythos wird, wie Mandela im zwanzigsten Jahrhundert, so er im einundzwanzigsten. Er drückt eine Reihe von Konzepten aus, die im einundzwanzigsten Jahrhundert zunehmend zu Bausteinen für die politische Konstruktion einer neuen Welt werden“, schreibt Negri in dem Beitrag.

Der Nationalkongress Kurdistan (KNK) bezeichnet den Tod von Negri als großen Verlust: „Mit großer Traurigkeit haben wir vom Tod des Philosophen Antonio (Toni) Negri in Paris erfahren. Wir möchten seiner Familie unser tiefes und aufrichtiges Beileid aussprechen. Toni Negri war ein enger Freund des kurdischen Volkes, der immer bereit war, das Nötige zu tun, um die Sache der Befreiungsbewegung Kurdistans voranzubringen. Er war einer der größten Philosophen des Jahrhunderts und ein begeisterter Leser der Schriften von Abdullah Öcalan. Öcalan bezeichnete er als den Antonio Gramsci seines Landes und ein Beispiel für alle Menschen auf der Welt. Toni Negri wird vielen Menschen auf der ganzen Welt fehlen, einschließlich der Kurdinnen und Kurden.“[1]
