Todesopfer durch die türkischen Drohnenangriffe
Im Nordosten von Syrien sind nach den massiven türkischen Luftangriffen auf die Energieinfrastruktur tausende Ortschaften ohne Strom. Am stärksten betroffen sind die Kleinstädte Dêrik, Tirbespiyê und Çil Axa sowie Teile von Qamişlo.
Im Nordosten von Syrien sind nach den massiven türkischen Luftangriffen auf die Energieinfrastruktur tausende Ortschaften ohne Strom. „Aktuell sind über 2.600 Orte von der Stromversorgung abgeschnitten“, teilte die Demokratische Selbstverwaltung am Dienstag in einer Mitteilung mit. „Der türkische Staat greift weiterhin die wichtige Infrastruktur unserer Regionen an.“

Am stärksten betroffen seien die Kleinstädte Dêrik, Tirbespiyê und Çil Axa. Faktisch alle Dörfer und Gemeinden seien von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten, hieß es. Dort waren am Samstag unter anderem eine Ölraffinerie und Kraftstoffverteilerstationen angegriffen worden. Weitere Siedlungen seien im Umland von Qamişlo betroffen. Bereits im Oktober waren unzählige Menschen in der nordostsyrischen Autonomieregion aufgrund türkischer Angriffe ohne Strom.

Die Selbstverwaltung veröffentlichte auch Zahlen zu den Angriffen vom Samstag und Montag. Demnach wurden 40 Luftschläge in verschiedenen Regionen Nordostsyriens verzeichnet. Sieben davon seien von türkischen Kampfflugzeugen verübt worden, die restlichen 33 mit Killerdrohnen aller Art. Mit 31 an der Zahl richteten sich die meisten Luftschläge gegen Qamişlo, wo diverse Gewerbebetriebe, Fabriken, Tankstellen und ein Marktplatz bombardiert worden sind. Getroffen wurde auch die Sîmav-Druckerei, die sechs Mitglieder ihrer Belegschaft verlor (zuvor waren nur vier Mitarbeiter:innen identifiziert worden), sowie das Gelände des Corona-Krankenhauses. Das Dialyse-Zentrum und die Abfüllanlage für medizinischen Sauerstoff wurden zerstört.

Bisherige Bilanz: Acht Tote und 18 Verletzte

Medizinische Infrastruktur nahmen die türkischen Bomber auch in Kobanê ins Visier. Dort wurde das Gelände einer Gesundheitsstation am Miştenûr-Hügel unter Beschuss gesetzt. Bis 2019 wurde die Station von Ärzte ohne Grenzen betrieben, inzwischen befindet sich das Gelände im Verantwortungsbereich der kurdischen Rothalbmondorganisation Heyva Sor a Kurd.

Laut Angaben der #Selbstverwaltung# war Kobanê am Vortag von insgesamt sechs Angriffen der Türkei betroffen. Drei weitere Attacken betrafen die Stadt Amûdê, wo ein Hochzeitssaal, ein Getreidesilo und eine Olivenverarbeitungsfabrik in Brand gebombt wurden. Die Bilanz aller Angriffe: Acht Todesopfer und 18 Verletzte. Bis gestern Abend gingen die Autonomiebehörden noch von 13 Verwundeten aus.

Türkei rechtfertigt Staatsterror mit Selbstverteidigungsrecht

In Qamişlo findet zur Stunde die Verabschiedung der Getöteten statt. Bei allen Todesopfern wie Verletzten handelt es sich um Zivilpersonen. Die Führung in Ankara behauptet, sie würde ausschließlich gegen „Terroristen“ vorgehen. Als juristische Ummantelung für ihre Kriegsverbrechen in Nord- und Ostsyrien, die als „Vergeltung“ für den Tod mehrerer Soldaten gedacht seien, die bei „grenzüberschreitenden Operationen“ der türkischen Armee im Irak von der kurdischen Guerilla getötet wurden, dient der Türkei die UN-Charta. Ankara rechtfertigt sich bei seinem Staatsterror mit Verweis auf Artikel 51 der UN-Charta, in der das Selbstverteidigungsrecht eines Landes geregelt ist. Im Völkerrecht gibt es aber kein Recht auf Vergeltung. Internationale Reaktionen bleiben dennoch wie gewohnt aus. Erdoğan hat freie Hand für Kriegsverbrechen gegen Kurdinnen und Kurden. Luftangriffe flog dessen Armee in den letzten Tagen auch in der Kurdistan-Region des Iraks.[1]
