سد بوکان

سد بوکان
سد بوکان که با نام‌های سد شهید کاظمی و سد لگزی نیز شناخته می‌شود، یکی از سدهای بزرگ کردستان با هسته رسی است و در 25 کیلومتری جنوب شرقی شهر #بوکان# قرار دارد. در منابع رسمی ایران، سد در حوزه استحفاظی بوکان واقع شده است. دریاچه آن نیز در در محدوده استان کردستان، شهر سقز قرار دارد.

این سد برای تنظیم و استفاده از آب و سیلاب‌های رودخانه زرینه ایجاد شد و علاوه بر تامین آب شهرهای بوکان، میاندوآب و عمده آب شهر تبریز، در حدود 55 هزار هکتار از زمین‌های کشاورزی منطقه‌های عجب‌شیر و آذرشهر را نیز آبیاری می‌کند. همچنین سد بوکان به‌عنوان یکی از مقاصد تفریحی و جاذبه های گردشگری بوکان، هر ساله پذیرای هزاران نفر از سرتاسر ایران است. دریاچه سد بوکان با 718 میلیون متر مکعب بیشترین آب پشت سد را به خود اختصاص داده است.
