Ahmad Khawaja he is son of Aziz son of Osman Agha of Ardalani. He was born on #06-07-1903# in the city of #Sulaymaniyah#. He started learning in his father's Hujra of his father Khwaja Effendi later in principality schools, he finished high school in Sulaymaniyah.
Ahmad Khawaja was a great intellectual and had served Kurdish literature and history in various fields. He is mostly known as a historian. His book Chim Di, published in two volumes, is considered a valuable treasure trove for telling the history of events during Sheikh Mahmoud Hafid's time.
In 1922 he came back to Kurdistan with Sheikh Mahmood and was appointed by Sheikh Mahmood as the treasurer, He participated in the revolution of t Sheikh Mahmoud and many letters were sent through him to the Iranian authorities and the Russian consul several times. When the newspaper Omidi Istiqlal was published Sheikh Mahmood appointed him as its editor because he was a well educated and an intellectual, which was a weekly newspaper published by the government of South Kurdistan itself that had social, political and literary topics. He thought of issuing a stamp for the Kurdistan government which was later designed by Sheikh Latif Dansaz. He has left behind several publications including the following works: Chim Di (3 volumes), 101 Kurdish Men, Fairy Teacher, Kurdish Dictionary, Blanco (translation) in addition to articles and some other works published in Galawezh magazine and other publications. He passed away on #04-03-1997# in #Baghdad# and was buried in Saywan Hill in #Sulaymaniyah#.[1]
