He was born in 1316 of solar year in Sarpache neighborhood of #Saqiz# city. Although he was illiterate, he sang more than 400 songs on Kurdish radio stations in #Kermanshah#, #Sanandaj# and #Mahabad# and #Tehran# , he has sang them in the radio without being recorded, He has kept the record in his home archive. When Kurdish Radio Kermanshah started working in 1337 AH of solar calendar, he was one of the first people to sing in the service of the late Hassan Kamkar. In 1351 and 1352, he recorded songs with Rashid Faiznejad, Hama Danesh and Hussein Rahbar in Mahabad. The songs that we can recognize from this singer are Dw Sar La Sar Sarinek and Ay la Gwlli mn and Yalla Shofer Yalla. He performed and participated in many national occasions He was friends with the late Hassan Zirak and lived together in Kermanshah and Iraq.
Ahmad Zarei's works are all available on the gramophone and cassette tapes that these days artist Khalil Saeedi on his own duty has recorded and clipped several songs for him and is now available to people and lovers of Ahmad's songs.
Ahmad Zarei is still a good spirited man who has married 9 women !! he has only one son named Hoshyar and lives abroad.
Ahmadi Zarei served in the monastery of the Zanbil Sheikhs in Qaqlawa village of Turjan area of Saqiz for fifteen years. He also was teahouse keeper in the monastery of the poet Sayed Kamil Imam “Awat”, due to this he knew poets like Hemn and Hazhar well.
In recent years, four or five people have been paid monthly salaries by the Ministry of Guidance as old artists. Ahmad Zarei is one of these artists.[1]
