Qadir Aziz Mohammed Amin was born in 1954 in Se Birani village of the Erbil province. He is a political personnel from South Kurdistan. He was the former secretary of the Kurdistan Troilers' Party and the secretary and founder of the Kurdistan Future Party. He has now merged his party's activities with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and now he has become a member of the PUK's Political Bureau. From 1970 to 1974 he worked for the Kurdistan Students Union. In August 1976, he participated in the armed political struggle against the dictatorial government in Baghdad. On 12/12/1985, he founded the Kurdistan Troilers' Party with a group of friends. He was elected as the secretary general of the party. It is a democratic leftist party that fights for the right to democratic self-determination, human rights, the rule of law and the establishment of civil society. From 1988 to 1993 he was a member of the political leadership of the Kurdistan Front. In the elections (19/05/1992) he became a member of the Kurdistan Parliament and then took the responsibility of the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation in the first cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He participated in Iraqi opposition conferences (Beirut, Vienna, Salahaddin, New York, London) for the overthrow of the dictatorial system in Baghdad. After the fall of the Baghdad regime, the expansion of the ruling council, he was among the 100 people who formed the Iraqi Interim National Council, after participating in the drafting of the permanent Iraqi constitution as part of the Kurdish delegation. On 15/09/2006, he became the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to monitor the implementation of Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution.[1]
