EP Parliamentarian and Social Democratic Group member Andreas Schieder answered Erem Kansoy's questions within the framework of freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question.
Schieder, who was one of the signatories of the letter sent by the Kurdish Friendship Group in the European Parliament to the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Joseph Borrell regarding the attacks by the Turkish state on Northern and Eastern Syria, evaluated the isolation imposed on Öcalan as a tragedy.
Schieder also drew attention to the historical role of Öcalan in the solution to the Kurdish question.[1]
