His full name is Dana Tayib Hama Gharib, known as Dana Tayib Manmi. He is the son of Haji Tayib of Baroyi. He was born in 1976 in Baroyi village of Bazian district of Sulaymaniyah province in a Kurdish and religious family of Manmi tribe. He attended primary school in his village until the third grade. When the Ba'ath regime began to demolish Kurdish villages in 1986, he continued his education in the primary school in Sulaymaniyah. He graduated from primary school with honors. He later successfully completed his secondary school at Zanyari schoon and high school education at Roshnbir Boys' High School, and completed his sixth grade in the 1993-1994 academic year. In 1994-1995, he was admitted to the Department of History, College of Literature, Salahaddin University, and then to the Department of English, Sulaymaniyah University. In 1999, he successfully graduated from the Department of English.
Since 2005, he has been working as a translator in the Directorate of Smora Children's Culture Center. During these eight years, he has been able to translate more than 10 books of stories for Kurdish children from English. He has been able to educate himself by reading books, magazines and newspapers. Since 2006, he has worked in the field of Kurdish journalism in several prominent media institutions such as Radio Nawa, Levin and Rudaw. He has worked as a reporter, journalist, translator and journalist in Sulaymaniyah and Erbil. He has translated and prepared thousands of articles and journalistic articles that have been published in local newspapers, websites and magazines. In 2013, he ran for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections on the Reform and Development List with the aim of serving the Islamic religion and his country and carrying out comprehensive reforms in society.
He has participated in several media courses and worked in newspapers, magazines and websites. He has gained full knowledge and familiarity and has been able to develop his skills in English and Arabic languages and have no problems in translation, writing, reading and speaking. He also writes poetry sometimes.
He is an active member of the Kurdistan Union of Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists. He has good relations with journalists in Sulaymaniyah and Erbil.[1]
