He was born in 1972 in Sulaymaniyah. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in 1992 and continued his music studies in Germany.
He is married and the father of two daughters, Fairuz and Faten.
He is a well-known Kurdish composer and former artistic advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). He has gained a lot of fame because of his work. He has composed for many Kurdish, Iraqi and Syrian Arab artists. He was awarded the 2012 Aru-Istanbul Award for Best Musician.[1]
