The Kurdish researcher and Doctor, Jalili Jassem Jalil, was born in Armenia. His father, Jassem Jalil, was a well-known writer and poet, and he had many contributions in various Kurdish cultural fields. .
The other side of the history of the family with a literary and heritage reputation was his brother, Dr. Ordikhan Jalil, who gave his life to spreading the Kurdish heritage in both its oral and blogger Parts. He also worked over forty years of continuous scientific effort, and through many books and dozens of serious research and studies published in Kurdish, Armenian and Russian languages, to study and document important stages and events in the modern history of the Kurds, and to collect and transmit masterpieces Kurdish oral literature.
In 1959 AD, Jalili Jalil graduated from the Faculty of History at the University of Yerevan, then he obtained his Ph.D. in 1963 . After he continued his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Orientalism of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, and his doctoral dissertation was entitled: (The Kurdish Liberation Movement from the fifties to the nineties of the nineteenth century), which was issued in Russian by the Academy of Sciences in Moscow in 1966 AD in Moscow under the title: (The Kurdish Intifada). in 1880 AD) as translated into Arabic.
In 1973 AD, he published his book “The Kurds of the Ottoman Empire in the First Half of the Nineteenth Century” in Moscow, which carried a comprehensive explanation and analysis of the relations of the Kurdish emirates (Baban, Badinan, Soran, Hakkari, Bhutan) that existed during that period and their relationship with Istanbul, and their organization The internal, political, societal, and military aspects, and some uprisings at that time, including the Yazdan Shir uprising, and the relations of Russia and Turkey. The book deals with the period between 1820-1880 AD in modern Kurdish history.
With regard to the heritage aspect, since the beginning of the seventies, Dr. Jalili worked with Dr. Ordikhan's sister to collect as much oral literature as possible, circulating in writing and orally. They collected about “15 thousand” wisdom and popular proverbs in one book that included “508 pages” in 1973 AD, with an important introduction to that. In addition to a very important book that includes masterpieces of Kurdish oral literature, entitled (Zarkutna Kurda) in 1978, which included (534) pages, and is considered one of the most important books of Kurdish folklore.
Dr. Jalili conducted studies in the Russian language on the history of the Kurdish press and its role in spreading and deepening the national awareness and political thought of the Kurds. These studies are scientific, in-depth, and rich in information, ideas and conclusions in a clear and beautiful manner.
Jalili Jalil has a number of important works that have been translated into Arabic, including: (The Uprising of Ubaid Allah al-Nahri in 1880), and the book: (The Kurdsh cultural and national renaissance at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century), and the book (Poems from Kurdish Culture ).

Dr. Jalili Jassem Jalil is one of the pioneers and geniuses of the Kurds who left a clear imprint on Kurdish literature and heritage, with his distinguished works, books, studies and research published in the Kurdish, Armenian and Russian languages, some of which were translated into Arabic.
