He was born on #09-06-1963# in the city of Sulaymaniyah. He has studied at the Bekhud Primary school and the Azmar Secondary school. He is a graduate of the Department of Physics of Mosul University in the year 1986.

He has been writing since the early 1980s. His first published story Tablo (Painting), was published in Hawkari newspaper in the year 1983. For three years between the years 1989 and 1991, he moved to the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine and he lived there. Where, he studied Russian, English, and Latin languages and he also studied Russian and English literature at the University of Kharkiv. He has been living in Stockholm since the year 1991. He has published his works in many magazines inside and outside the country.
